Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Haz - one of the most fantastic restaurants in the city.
Now, whenever I go here I pretty much ALWAYS get the lamb moussaka. Very rarely I branch out and try something else so I'm going to tell you everything I know about this lamb moussaka.
The moussaka comes as a perfect square in a deep plate and sits in the middle of a delicious tomato and herb sauce. It's like a lasagne, except, instead of lasagne sheet layers there's layers of aubergine, courgettes and potatoes. The lightly spiced lamb mince just rests in between each layer of the vegetables perfectly. At the top of the moussaka there is the standard but oh-so-enticing flour, cheese and milk mix (bechamel sauce) which basically the best bit of the whole moussaka in my opinion.
So when you take your first bite, you're tasting soft lamb mince smothered in a warm, rich tomato sauce mixed with grilled vegetables and melted cheese on top - did I just describe heaven?

My colleague got the Yogurtlu Kofte which is two lamb minced kebabs sitting under a coating of garlic yoghurt and a tomato and herb sauce. This comes with a portion of plain rice and a chargrilled pepper salad. According to my colleague the dish is "simply the best".
Now I've been to Haz probably over 20 times since I've been working in the city, and it has never ever disappointed. The food has always been fresh and well prepared. The staff has always been extremely friendly and accommodating. I literately cannot fault this restaurant.
The restaurant borders the fine-dining standard but you're definitely not paying fine dining prices. Haz has large chandeliers (see pic below), tall ceilings, soft white table cloths and napkins but most importantly, it has mouth watering, luscious food.

Guys just so you know, they have a few branches in central London so be sure to check the website to see what's closest to you.
