I just want to cover this halal issue with you guys first (then I'll start talking about the food).
There's a few Dim-t branches in London so I always phone up/email them before and ask if the chicken is halal. The managers always confirm the chicken in certain dishes is halal so as long I ask the waiter on the day what's halal I'll be able to eat the chicken. But whenever I dine in/get take away and I ask the waiters about their halal status, they seem totally baffled. Most of them just say, "I don't think our chicken is halal" and then some say "what's halal?".
Considering the managers are adamant the chicken is halal, they should really train their staff accordingly. The waiters pretty much just don't understand the word 'halal'. Please Dim-T: tell your waiters what halal is and whether or not you serve halal meat, it'll save the halaloodies from having to buy veg/fish.

As a result of this confusion I ended up getting vegetarian food. Very annoying.
Anyway rant over.
I came here with some colleagues for a team lunch last week. Thank God I made a reservation beforehand, because Friday 1pm it was packed. There's no way we would've got a table for the six of us if I hadn't of reserved in advance.

Handmade Dim Sum - spicy vegetable. Please note: this was not spicy at all so don't be fooled by the name. However it was very tasty. The sweetcorn was very prominent and the coating was nice and squidgy. I know squidgy sounds like a bad adjective but it's because the dim-sum is steamed so it's always soft. You got to dip it in the soya sauce though, Dim-Sum without soya sauce is just weird, but the soya sauce really gives it flavour and basically just makes it lush.
Sweet coconut noodles. On the menu, it says that it's got a 'spicy' sauce. I don't know what they were thinking when writing that word because this dish is very sweet. I couldn't taste spice at all if I'm honest. Don't get me wrong - I absolutely loved it. I got the tofu option and the tofu was so yum, it was fried and placed as cubes in the noodles. I loved all the random vegetables it came with (carrots, red onions, bean sprouts). Although I loved it, I don't think everyone would like it because it's very sweet for a main (and a sweet curry as a main doesn't tickle everyone's tastebuds).
The lunch overall was good.. I mean a 1.5hour lunch on a Friday, can't really complain (except the halal confusion rant above).
